Player state system

In roleplay, real-world game states are described as things that happen to your character within the world:

Game stateIn roleplay
OnlineAwake
OfflineSleeping
AFKResting
LagUnwell
RespawnAwoken from the dream of dying
ItemsPhysical belongings

Memory rule

Players retain memories as lived experiences within the world. Death is remembered as a dream rather than a real event. These memories nonetheless remain valid for roleplay storytelling, character development, and narrative progression.

Character consistency rule

Players are expected to keep their character's behavior consistent throughout gameplay. Sudden or unexplained personality changes are not allowed unless they are supported by an in-roleplay reason. Characters must remain stable to preserve immersion and narrative integrity.

Language style rule

All communication should reflect the tone of a being living within the realm of Zelvaria. Modern terminology, internet slang, and real-world references, such as technology-based terms, are not allowed. Speech should remain immersive, simple, and fitting for a fantasy world.

Combat roleplay rule

Combat must always allow interaction and response. Instant kills without engagement are not permitted. Players must acknowledge damage taken during fights, even if minor, to keep combat roleplay fair and realistic.

Exceptions may apply to pre-approved or story-based assassinations, such as actions carried out by secret societies or designated covert systems. These must be planned, agreed upon, or approved through proper roleplay channels, and cannot be used freely in random encounters. Even then, outcomes must still follow roleplay logic, fairness, and the server rules, to avoid abuse or unfair advantage.

Fair play rule

Players may not force actions onto others or control another player's character. God-modding, such as acting unbeatable or ignoring damage, is strictly prohibited. Revenge outside of roleplay logic is not allowed, and all conflict must remain within structured roleplay systems.

Roleplay respect rule

All players must respect each other's roleplay experience. Deliberately breaking immersion is not allowed, and all conflicts must remain strictly in character. The goal is a respectful, immersive, and enjoyable roleplay environment for everyone in Zelvaria.
