The High Council of Zelvaria
The High Council, known as the Guardians of Zelvaria, are legendary beings who once lived ordinary lives within Zelvaria before sacrifice and fate drew them into something far greater. Some were chosen by the world itself, while others answered the call of great losses: moments of sacrifice so profound that Zelvaria seemed to hear them, reshaping those who survived into something beyond mortal existence.
Bound thereafter to the will of the world, they forsook their former selves to uphold the sacred balance between light and darkness. Now they remain as timeless protectors tied to Zelvaria, sensing every shift in its harmony like wind-carried whispers and deep-earth echoes, and manifesting only when that balance begins to fracture.
Revered across its settlements as living legends, they are rarely seen, and are regarded more as signs than as figures. Yet their presence lingers through all existence, woven into Zelvaria as eternal guardians of its fragile equilibrium.
